A headless storefront for a specialty grocer, with recipe-led discovery, delivery-slot booking and a checkout tuned for mobile.
Concept project — a self-initiated exploration by Webroaden with a fictional company. It is not a client engagement and shows no real-world results.
Interface concept, rendered in code. Names, figures and content are illustrative.
The challenge
Grocery shoppers are often on mobile, in a hurry and buying many items. The concept asks how a premium brand can feel considered and editorial while making a 30-item basket quick to build.
Approach
The decisions that shape the product — each one chosen to solve a specific part of the problem.
Recipes double as shoppable lists: one action adds every ingredient, with substitutions for anything out of stock.
Previous baskets and staples are one tap away, and the cart persists across devices.
Delivery area and slot availability are checked early, so no one discovers a problem at checkout.
Product listings are cached at the edge and revalidated when inventory changes.
Intended outcomes
Design goals for this concept — not measured results from a live product.
Large baskets assembled in fewer steps
No checkout surprises about delivery availability
A storefront that remains fast on mid-range mobile devices
